Initial Submission Guidelines

Submission

Formatting

These guidelines are for initial submissions for review only. Refer to Presentation Guidelines for the complete paper and Research-in-progress presentation, which will be announced later.

1. General Instructions:
  • Language: All manuscripts must be in English.
  • File Format: Papers submitted for review should be in pdf format.
  • Paper Length, Completed Research papers: Completed research papers must not exceed twelve (12) single-spaced pages and must conform to the PACIS 2015 word template or LaTeX template. The 12 pages must include all text, figures, tables, and appendices. In other words, cover page, abstract, keywords, and references are excluded from this page count.
  • Paper Length, Research-in-progress papers: Research-in-progress papers must not exceed seven (7) single-spaced pages and must conform to the PACIS 2015 word template or LaTeX template. The 7 pages must include all text, figures, tables, and appendices. In other words, the cover page, abstract, keywords, and references are excluded from this page count. Research-in-progress papers typically represent work that is incomplete, yet promising, typically with no results or very preliminary results at this stage.
  • Page Setup: Your paper must be formatted for A4 size portrait page setup, with a 2.54cm (1-inch) margin (top, bottom, left and right).
  • Page Numbering: Please include page numbers in the papers submitted for review. However, for the final copies of accepted papers, please do not include page numbers.
  • Author Information: The papers submitted for review MUST NOT contain any author information due to the double-blind review process. The papers submitted for review not being anonymous will be rejected without review.

2. Make sure your paper is formatted as required by PACIS 2015. Download the word template or LaTeX template.

3. PACIS 2015 accepts both regular (complete) research papers and research-in-progress papers (see further details below).

4. All papers should be submitted electronically using the conference's online submission system at PACIS 2015 online paper submission page. The submitted papers should not have been submitted for review, accepted for publication, or already published elsewhere.

5. When submitting a paper, you must select a track. If your study seems suitable for more than one track, please choose the track where you regard the paper as would it make the most important contribution. See the list of tracks on PACIS 2015 track page.


Additional Requirements

1. Completed Research Papers

The completed research papers should have completed analyses and documentation of results. The completed research papers should be similar to journal submissions, but shorter.

Review Criteria for the Completed Research Papers:
  • Topic is relevant to a track's theme.
  • Objectives are clear and well-described.
  • Paper is written clearly.
  • Paper will draw an audience.
  • Paper is well organized and flows logically.
  • Literature review is appropriate.
  • Methodology is appropriate (if relevant).
  • Analyses are appropriate (if relevant).
  • Evidence supports authors' arguments (if relevant).
  • Paper makes a useful contribution
Completed Research Paper Page Limit Requirements: Completed research papers must not exceed twelve (12) single-spaced pages and must conform to the PACIS 2015 word template or LaTeX template. 2. Research-in-Progress Papers

The research-in-progress papers typically represent work that is incomplete, yet promising. Such papers may be thought of as the front half of a completed research paper, with some brief or expected conclusions, but with no results or very preliminary results at this stage.

Accepted research-in-progress papers will be presented in an interactive format as posters during PACIS 2015, and will appear in the PACIS 2015 Proceedings. Authors of accepted research-in-progress papers will be required to bring poster-size presentations (in LARGE TYPE format, with a maximum overall size of 150 cm (width) x 90 cm (height) for display at their interactive session.

Review Criteria for the Research-in-Progress Papers:
  • Topic is relevant to a track's theme.
  • Objectives are clear and well-described.
  • Paper is written clearly.
  • Paper will draw an audience.
  • Paper is well organized and flows logically.
  • Literature review is appropriate.
  • Methodology is appropriate (if relevant).
  • Analyses are appropriate (if relevant—many RIP papers may not yet have data to analyze).
  • Evidence supports authors' arguments (if relevant).
  • Paper makes a useful contribution or has the potential to make a contribution.
The Research-in-Progress Paper Page Limit Requirements: The research-in-progress papers must not exceed 7 single-spaced pages and must conform to the PACIS 2015 word template or LaTeX template. The 7 pages must include all text, figures, tables, and appendices. The cover page, abstract, keywords, and references are excluded from this page count.

Notification of Acceptance

All submitted papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee or Session Organizer according to the standard review procedures. Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to corresponding, presenting and abstract submitting authors after May 4, 2015. You can also check the result of your paper at the online system EasyChair.

Each accepted paper must be accompanied by one unique registration by May 20, 2015. Otherwise, the paper will be automatically withdrawn from the final program.
